Jeonju Hanok Village Mime Festival: October 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th.

There will be a mime festival (전주한옥마을마임축제) held the next two Friday and Saturday evenings at Jeonju's Hanok Village.

There will be ten teams of performers: five from Korea, five from Japan. Performances will be held at the Living Experience Center, the Craftworks Exhibition Hall, and another building I'm not sure how to translate. A program is available here, in Korean.

When I saw this in my blog's side bar (yours is one of a handful of regular reads I put there), I thought it said mine festival. Which would be cool. But mimes... just one notch above clowns.

Unless they're doing a unique Korean and Japanese take on gesticulatory performance, I wouldn't be sad if H1N1 took this one out, too.
