Suncheon announced on its English-language website Wednesday that it's looking for foreign-language interpreters and translators to assist the number of foreigners expected to come in for the Yeosu Expo, and other events, as well as your run-of-the-mill residents and foreigners. They're looking for 36 people proficient in nine different languages---I mean, not 36 people proficient in nine, but people proficient in one of the nine I guess. The recruitment campaign is February 13th through 23rd, so hurry up and get your application in. You wouldn't want to look like a ricetard by being ridiculously late.

The translators first job will be translate web pages on Suncheon's website. Beware of phrases like "exploitation of human resources" and many more.
Doesn't this seem a little premature for an event that isn't happening until 2012? The Yeosu Expo is just a few years away... Joking aside, of course, I do wonder what they plan on paying people - more or less than the teaching jobs the reader will already have...
