Say, that's quite a find.

In a grocery store next to my school there's an antique-looking radio behind the bakery. Upon closer inspection, and a lot of looking around the internet, I learned it's a Siemens Schatulle H 42, which was manufactured between 1954 and 1955. Sorry for the bad photogragh---it's just included here for evidence---the lighting was a little strange. There are some better pictures of the same model here and here and here.

It has doors which slide open to reveal the speakers. The dial has notches that indicate the frequency of radio channels from the US and all over Europe. All of the controls are in German. I have no idea if it still works, but they had a CD player plugged into it. The woman at the bakery said the store's manager acquired it a long time ago, and said that they have another one in the back.
