October 31st is Ace Day, so . . . yeah.

I was going to write the first post about Ace Day, but somebody beat me to it. It's a day for giving Ace crackers. Feel free to insert your own explanation. "Anything to steal the thunder from a Western holiday" is mine.

As opposed to the other 364 days when everyone just pretends they're a cracker...

I first experienced this last year, and in years past I guess I just didn't pay attention. At first I thought they were telling me it was "8s day." Between this, Peppero Day, White Day, and Valentine's Day, snack companies have really found a great market.

Back home it's worse on 2/14. At least here it's generally confined to chocolate or maybe a night out somewhere. Diamonds? Get real.

Ace day, huh? Can someone explain what that's about? I get peppero day, 11/11. What's up with Ace day?

Two words for you: 'Snack Lobby'
Another two words: 'Big Snack'
Somehow they're implicated in the North/South Problem. I'm sure of it.
