From the Korea Herald:
Daniel Smith, a 23-year-old English instructor on a two-week visit to this southwestern port city, deserves full credit for saving two college students, both aged 19, whom he noticed in trouble off a beach in Mokpo, 410 km south of Seoul, Monday night, said the officials.
After pulling them from the water, Smith administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to one of the students whose condition was precarious.
In addition to the citation, the Mokpo Fire Station presented Smith with a "Heart Saver" badge in recognition of his emergency cardiopulmonary treatment, said the officials.
According to the Yonhap story, Smith was in town for an English camp, and is the first foreigner to receive the "Heart Saver" in Jeollanam-do.

Good Job. Kudos to Daniel Smith, a true hero. The courage and the fact that he is also skillful in CPR is truly amazing.
...then he had to go and ruin it all by being a Cards fan.
Great news story, congratulations to all concerned.
Cheers to Daniel Smith!
Good on you, Mr Smith.
