Busy day at the beach.

On a sweltering Saturday---with temperatures reaching up to 38.3 in Miryang---it was a busy day at the country's beaches.

550,000 went to Gyeongpo Beach in Gangwon-do, 1,300,000 went to the eastern coast, and 800,000 people showed up at Busan's Haeundae beach today, pictured above. Even white people were there, like these two in their "I love Haeundae Beach" shirts.

But it was a dangerous day in the water, too, with several deaths, including that of a 17-year-old boy in Gwangyang, and a 55-year-old man in Jangheung county.

Wow, I bet there were fewer gang rapes in Miryang yesterday.

It was a holiday, so the police probably took the day off. But knowing Miryang, that probably made it safer.
