Two Wonder Girls drop out of school.

According to the Korea Herald, the two youngest Wonder Girls have dropped out of high school to pursue their music careers and gear up for their North American debut this summer. They will be opening up for the Jonas Brothers this summer, and will release an album in the fall. Here's a snippet of "Nobody" in English, in case you're interested.

I didnt think it was possible...but their singing actually sounds worse in English. I will be very interested to see how their album does in the US.

Is it just me or does this sound like an old 백지영 song? It was horrible by the way. Once again, the Koreans have no business model on the Wondergirls for overseas success. Opening for the Jonus Brothers is a good move, but is their target demographic the same? The Jonus Brothers are handle pretty tightly to maintain the squeeky clean virgins-until-marriage imaage. I don't think the grinding sexy high school girls singing about love is going to appeal to the same fan base. "Once more into the breach" for Korean pop acts, but I think they will meet the same lack of success as BoA and Rain (is it just me, or do you get sick of seeing that smarmy wide closed lip grin on his advertisements?)

Actually, I think it will grab the Jonas Bros' demographic just right. The Wondergirls' cutesy, autistic non-sexual sexuality will go over perfectly with the type of people who think that sexuality is a sin, being as they are about as carnal and provactive as talcum powder.

Sorry, I meant 'provocative'.
