Okay, so am I to conclude that none of the 96 busted for selling drugs in Gwangju were native English teachers since THAT little tidbit of information was burried inside a different article?
You know for a fact that if even one of those 96 was an English teacher from the US or Canada, it would have been a story in its own right.

Because marijuana smokers are much more likely to date rape you than people carrying GHB.
I always thought that drugs as well as petty crimes are very common here in Gwangju (from what ive read, and based on how it is being depicted in movies). Although whenever i ask my korean friends about this, they always deny it as if it doesnt really exist. But seriously, i found this city relatively safer, than any other cities i visited worldwide.

In fact, the story specifically mentions that a university adjunct lecturer (presumably Korean) was among those caught ordering drugs.
arvinsign, what kind of drugs? Meth is becoming a bigger problem out in the provinces, from what I understand. It's a huge problem in rural areas of the US. It's just sad.
Unrelated to the title you gave this article, I found it really useful in my teacher's workshop this afternoon.
