Lions and tigers together at Everland.

Say, that's quite an idea. Put lions and tigers together to see how they get along.

Wasn't but a few months ago that a lion chewed up a tiger at the Jeonju Zoo.

This situation at Everland is different, though. There is no risk in putting lions and tigers together there because, as a noted Korean zoologist told Yonhap, these tigers are 어머! 너무 신기하다~!

There is a fascination — nay, an obsession — many people in Korea have with ligers, and tigons to a lesser extent.

I'm guessing that it must have appeared in an official English or science textbook, though I didn't find it when I was doing my review of English texts since the 1940s and how they were used to shape Korean national identity.

Anyway, I'm guessing that there's a zookeeper who just didn't grow up.
