Winter wonderland in March at Jungoe Park.

It's the time of year for snow and flowers, and here's a little of both in Gwangju's Jungoe Park (중외공원) in Unam-dong on March 10th.

Both pictures (1, 2) are from Yonhap, and there are plenty more available via a Naver news search. Just five days earlier pictures of the park's apricot blossoms were in the news.

I used to live just around the corner from Jungoe Park. If the name doesn't ring a bell, it's the one with the big orange and white footbridge you pass under if you're heading north out of town, near the Culture & Arts Center, Biennale Hall, and the Folk Museum.

Nice pictures.

I don't miss the cold, but I do miss the snow.

WV: orkism, stupid things said by Orcs.

I came back to something like three feet of snow in Pittsburgh, with chunks of ice hanging off the roof and blocking the gutters. Weather in the 50s and a bit of rain melted most of that. I don't much care for snow after Christmas, but I do miss flower festivals in March in southwestern Korea.
