Any Ace Day parties?

Ace Day display at Suncheon grocery store.

October 31st is "Ace Day" (에이스데이) in South Korea, a relatively minor consumer holiday for giving, receiving, and eating Ace brand crackers. I learned about this, and celebrated it, exclusively at school, and with it falling on a weekend it remains to be seen how much of a celebration there'll really be this year.

Um, sorry. I thought Pepero Day was over the top - holding a commercial holiday on the same day as freakin' Halloween? Bad planning and an even worse use of corporate funds.

Wow, 'Ace Day', eh? Is there even much variety in their products? At least Peppero comes in a different selection of flavours etc.

Seriously? Well, yeah there's the day. I'm not seriously asking about any parties, though. I say it's a relatively minor "holiday" because I couldn't find even much Korean information on it.

Tell me I'm not the only one who's experienced Ace Day.

Students would always be very generous giving the gift of crackers to me. It's just another reason to eat in the classroom.
