Saw on the news this morning that members of the Hyundai Capital Skywalkers (현대캐피탈 스카이워커스) men's pro volleyball team visited Bokja Girls' High School in Cheonan on Monday morning. You can find a short news clip here from MBC, and more photos from the Skywalkers' homepage. The man of the hour, pictured above and featured heavily in the MBC clip was 22-year-old Matthew John Anderson out of Penn State University, who held down a "Funny English Class."

*Sigh* Look at the funny tall monkey making funny monkey noises.
Does anyone else have a problem with the use of the word "funny" in the banner, or is it just me?
I suspect whoever made the banner was thinking of the Korean, "재미있는", but wouldn't "enjoyable" be a better translation here? Or am I just too into alliteration?
I didn't want to nitpick by focusing on that or "Love Volleyball~ Fun! School~" because it looked like a nice time had by all, but yeah, I was feeling for the guy. Welcome to our world, poor guy. But, you know for somebody who isn't used to it, I'm sure the attention quite a trip. (Not that a 6'10" white guy doesn't get attention in Korea, I just mean the kind of English catcalls teachers get).
They still should have had somebody check the sign, though. Looking at their website they do have two NSETs, Angela and Jennifer. But, I doubt they were even consulted.
Again, don't want to nitpick over what was a nice day for the school and the team. Just want to say this type of thing is routine.
