That's a big hornet still kicking in Yeosu:

Being a citizen of Jangseong, I got into 백양사 and 내장산 for free (during the autumn leaf festival thing), when I was living there. Was a nice place to visit in autumn ^^
Do my eyes deceive me, or is that a giant "frank n beans" made of chrysanthemums? I don't know what to say.
There are better pictures of it here: http://briandeutsch.blogspot.com/2008/11/pictures-from-hampyeong-chrystanthemum.html
Is that one exhibit supposed to look like dick and balls, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
No, that's what it's supposed to be. Go to the page I just mentioned, you'll find a couple more there.
That bound-up Buddha is a Ksitigarbha (Korean: Chijang), an offering for the soul of an aborted baby (hence the little shoes). I've blogged about the custom before: "Baby Souls Mourning" and South Korea, "Abortion Paradise".
