Test of Proficiency in Korean registration has begun.

From yesterday, and will be open through February 16th. Visit the official TOPIK website---specifically the .pdf linked on this page---for more details about registration and the exam. The test will be held on Sunday, April 19th in South Korea, and Gwangju's will once again be at Chonnam National University.

If you have websites or resources you've found helpful for the six-level exam, please add them in the comment section. Remember, previous exams and their answer keys are found on the official website. I'm going to see if I can't get up to Level 3 this time, but having neglected my studies for, like, ever, I'm not confident about my chances.

After I got back from Korea, I did a test at home (and got a Singaporean friend, who has taken heaps of the tests before to grade the written section). I did pretty well in the Elementary test, but noticed a very big difference when I did the Intermediate test. But, I did it just for fun - I didn't really study Korean, just learnt stuff as I was there - being in the middle of nowhere, and having to use Korean all the time to get stuff done.

Good Luck ^^

I have several levels of the ToPiK study books, but after working all day, I can't be arsed to study.

I'd like to write the 1st and 2nd levels this year, anyway. I've put it off for too long.

It's worth noting that the Korea Foundation supposedly gives preference to grant and fellowship applicants who have TOPIK or KEPT scores to demonstrate their language proficiency, as opposed to university transcripts or language school certificates.
