Rev. Dwight Linton dies in South Carolina car accident.

A quick step back into real-time to note the passing of Reverend Dwight Linton, killed on January 11th in a car accident in South Carolina while returning home from a funeral. Born in Jeonju and raised in Korea, Linton was a member of the well-known missionary families who first arrived over a century ago and whose influence is still seen today. Of local interest, he served as the principal of Gwangju's Honam Theological Seminary from 1973 to 1978, a school known today as Honam Theological University and Seminary. His Korean name was 인도아. He was 82.

Here is one person's reflection on a man who "loved the Korean people" and who "was always learning and trying to figure out how to engage the culture and bridge the difference between the 1st and 2nd generation Korean Americans."

I believe his son is well known to many of us. He's Dr. Linton at Yonsei hospital. A great doc.

Couldn't get an authoritative family tree, but I think he'd be his nephew:
