Buga Kingz - Siren / 부가킹즈 - 싸이렌
Here's a catchy-as-hell song from Buga Kingz, a hip-pop group with Bobby Kim, probably my favorite Korean singer inasmuch as I have a favorite Korean singer. There are a few other videos of this song floating around youtube, including this one, which has 74% more box. Here's another decent song with Bobby Kim, a collaboration with Dynamic Duo called "Insomnia." And here's a catchy Dynamic Duo collaboration with Paloalto. And here are a couple of live clips with Dynamic Duo, Bobby Kim, and Drunken Tiger. So that's how we do that.
Update: Hell, might as well post a couple songs by Leessang (리쌍) another good hip-pop group that often collaborates with Dynamic Duo, Bobby Kim, Tiger JK, T, and the usual suspects. Library of Soul remains the only CD I've purchased in Korea, except for that one of traditional music in Gyeongju. "내가 웃는게 아니야" is the best-known song off that album, but other good ones are "개리와기리" and "의정부."

Interesting, these acts (Bugga Kingz, Dynamic Duo, Bobby Kim, and Drunken Tiger) have all played at my school during the spring or fall festivals. I didn't know who they were or that they were all related. I wonder if they're all from Gyeongang.
I meant, Gyeongsang.
Dynamic Duo, yeah, saw them in a live studio recording a couple of years ago in Daegu - yep Gyeongsang - went to see No Brain who played just after them, but was glad to catch DD even tho I'm more into guitar-based rock. Saw a good DD vid one time too, all cartoon animation or something. Good track.
Drunken Tiger I think play, or at least often have, around HongDae with that whole indie-rock scene whence No Brain and Crying Nut and others originated...
Although, according to my students in discussion yesterday, all those bands developed following the success of Seo Taiji and the Boys in the 80s. We discussed the advent of him and his group cos it was announced in the English lang. news that he's doing another album to released at some point soon in time for some big annual concert fest. he'll be headlining.

The DD video I posted with Bobby Kim is claymation, maybe that's the one your thinking of? I also like their version of Ring My Bell . . . they have some other good ones, too, but I couldn't find them last night.
Anyway, apparently they played in Gwangju last weekend for the "Red Festa" thing. I was disappointed I couldn't go.
