Coreana Nazi commercials pulled off youtube.

Looks like the Coreana Nazi commercials were pulled off Youtube this morning, not by me. I'm sure Korad and/or Coreana asked Youtube to take them down, after I ignored their letters. Other, Jew-friendly Coreana ads have not been taken off Youtube, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. *cough* Anyway, they had generated roughly 9,000 combined hits, so it was clear that enough people saw them. You can still view them here and here via the original Naver blog, and I also saw them up on Daum. Naver took them down this afternoon, but they're still on Daum here and here. I have them saved on my computer, and I may repost them to Youtube, I dunno, seems like they'd just get pulled right back down. If anybody wants copies, please let me know and I'll pass them along.

* Edit: Go here and read the excellent summary of what happened a few years ago when a Korean company did an ad campaign a photo shoot with an actress made up to be a comfort woman. The difference in apologies then and now. Actually, there really wasn't an apology in this case. A few years ago, though, the series of apologies involved burning prints, shaving heads, and groveling on the floor in front of former comfort women and the media.

How does that work? They can just email YouTube and ask for them to be taken down?
You should definately put those back up in a month or so.

By the way, both our blogs are listed at the bottom of the CNN piece on this.

Yeah, I saw the CNN link. Not sure how that works.

I wonder if Coreana stopped the ads altogether. I haven't seen them on TV the past two days. I'll probably repost them in a month like you said, just for posterity.

I saw the ad on the Style Channel yesterday evening(Apr 6th). I used to be slightly amused by Korean obsession with nazi culture. .. but 3 months down the line, i am absolutely flabergasted and appauled to say the least, at the total lack of thought into this weird admiration. The fact that it's still on Korean net pages and TV. . ? I am actually offended at the arrogance and stupidity of it. Youtube upload again please! I managed to download the 2nd.. but not the first. I shall be making it a priority to upload and advertise whenever it's pulled down.

Bingo. Under US federal law, Coreana (or the copyright-holder of the video) could send a notice to YouTube that would more or less require them to remove the video or face liability. Of course, when that happens, the original poster is supposed to get notice, so it might just have been a strongly-worded letter rather than a formal DMCA-style take down notice. YouTube seems to be a lot more obliging in that respect since they got sued for umpteen-billion dollars not too long ago (and I think the case is still pending.)
