Chosun Ilbo takes a long, hard look at high school girls' skirts.
High school girls like to wear mini skirts, but since they're obligated to wear uniforms at school they have hike them way up when they're off campus if they want to feel fashionable. And the Chosun Ilbo was there.
Reminds me of seeing school girls on the tram in Hiroshima unrolling their skirts (to make them long again) before they went home, back in 2002. I guess Korean students are catching up now? (Actually, from what students have told me over the years, this has been going on - among some girls - for years.
I'll bet the Chosun Ilbo's photographers literally fought each other over that assignments. Those skirts are nowhere near as short as the bottom-skimming lengths sported by Japanese schoolgirls several years ago.
I taught a foreign language high school which was right next to a very famous arts high school about 12 years ago. When I left at the end of the day I would often see kids climbing over the wall to escape then hiking up their skirts to scandalous lengths. Didn't leave much covered at all. It has been going on for years. The trend is just catching up with the regular kiddies.
Wasn't it also the Chosun who made a big hullabaloo about taking photos at the beach? Yet here they are camped out in front of a girls' high school perving on the girls all day in hopes of an upskirt shot?
Upon seeing those "bottom-skimming lengths sported by Japanese schoolgirls" for the first time when I was in Shinjuku on my first trip to Japan back in 2001, my Tokyo-dwelling friend told me that the girls had attached velcro to their skirts to hitch them up when out of school. I wonder if they still do, and if Korean girls will copy them? Or already have?

I wore the shortest skirts I could get away with but the other guys teased me a lot.
