Bringing history to life.

The Chosun Ilbo has a gallery of four pictures of historical reenactments that went on in Gyeonggi-do's Hwaseong Cultural Center today, the March 1st holiday to celebrate the beginning of the Korean Independence Movement.

And in Gangbuk-gu.

On a less masochistic note, President Lee Myung-bak cheers "만세" at Cheonan's Independence Hall.

And some festivities in Gwangju.

I spent the day resting and reading, preparing for the first day back to school tomorrow. Others took the opportunity to travel abroad.

* Update: And this is even cuter.

I wish I knew what the terminology for that sort of thing is. I am a historical reenactor when I'm stateside, and I always have difficulty explaining the concept to Koreans.
