From the Sports Chosun. The only picture I could find of Jung Jun-ho (정준호) and Gomes stuck together, it's amusing and perhaps typical that out of all the pictures out there of her, that's the one they chose, the one that takes an attractive woman and makes her look like a child.
Somebody finally got around to putting Jessica Gomes (제시카 고메즈) in a movie there, the Korea Times writes:
Australian model Jessica Gomes is branching out to acting in Korea through the new movie “George and Bong-sik” (working title).
Directed by newcomer Moon Woo-seong, the comedy film revolves around a Los Angeles police officer named George, played by Jung Jun-ho, and a countryside policeman Bong-sik, played by fellow actor Shin Hyunjune. Gomes will appear as Jung’s love interest and fellow cop. This is the first time for the 24-year-old to appear in a local film.
The short article ends with:
In 2008, she appeared in various advertisements and entertainment shows in Korea and became famous for
but I'm pretty sure the things they listed aren't why she's insanely popular. She's had her own show "My Name is Jessica Gomes" (마이네임이즈제시카고메즈)---advertised with the promo for her "shower dance"---played the role of token objectified white girl in commercials with Lee Min-ho and Cha Tae-hyun, done plenty of print ads for telephones, did the obligatory fawning over a Korean man on local TV, and has her bikini pics on Korean news sites pretty much all the time.

Gomes was the, um, face (?) of a line of "bikini" phones from LG.
If nothing else, this movie will provide tons of rotten English as we listen to Jung and other Koreans playing Los Angeles cops awkwardly hitting on Gomes. Unless this Arirang blogger's estimation of his English is right:
Korean actor Chung Jun-ho received a love call from one of the major production companies in Hollywood, and visited in the U.S. last Apr, according to the source. His manly character and English proficiency have attracted the production representative, and they recommend he star in a film. He will be the second Korean actor to advance into the Hollywood, following the case of the Korean actor Park Joong-hoon, if he accepts the proposal. Hopefully, he can make a wise decision!

With Shin Hyun-joon in the flick, that cemented that I won't see it, Gomez or no Gomez.
Who's Pak Joong-hoon?
i just saw a newspaper, with a bikini girl on the front. who said korea isnt becoming japan? who will they hate now? themselves? lol
Park Joong-hoon used to be in a lot of Korean comedies, his most well-known comedies were "Nowhere to Hide" (인정사정 불 것없다) with Ahn Sung-gi, and "Two Cops" (also with Ahn). He is the first(?) native Korean to star in a Hollywood movie, "American Dragons".
I met the guy when he was filming a scene with Song Yoon-ah**, from "Masterpiece in my Life" (불후의 명작).
Nice guy and spoke nearly fluent English.
**Song Yoon-ah, I salute you. Shwiiiiiiiiing!
