A 20-meter-high Christmas tree tower went up in Gwangju's Yangrim-dong last night, near the dormitories of Honam Theological University. Nice picture by the Kwangju Ilbo.

  1. Looks a helluva lot nicer than Seoul's Christmas "cone" and cross.

  4. Hi, thanks for the comment. I want to keep comments on-topic, so feel free to contact me via my email address, deutsch.brian at gmail.com

In short, it will depend on what you want to see in Jeolla-do and will depend on if you have a car or are relying on buses. A week would be good, but you can see a lot in a few days. If you want to see outlying islands as well, budget several more days. But, like I said, contact me via email with more details please.
