If I title this "sexy elementary school cheerleaders," people who have my blog on their sidebar will drop me.
Some elementary school students (1, 2, 3, 4) dancing at a competition in Seoul on Sunday.
Because why have attractive women dance around in miniskirts when you can use small children? Well, elementary school girls might be a little young, so for you guys who like older women, they also had middleschoolers.
That is actually the outfit that Korean cheerleaders wear, it really isn't as bad as American beauty pageant kids, or the Korean elementary school belly dance competitions. I'm not saying that I agree with this but there are worse things that these kids could be wearing.
you should see what girls at my womens college wear for their routines for sports day. it makes some the stuff i've seen a the yellow rose in austin look pg
Being a cheerleader myself all during high school, I am quite particular towards outfits. I must say, these outfits they are wearing brighten my day. Right out of a manga/anime it seems. It's not as bad as some things I've seen.
I mean, these girls are wearing clothing head to toe. They even have tights and gloves on!
Honestly, no offense, but this just seems slightly nit-picky to me. Oh well, to each their own. :)
I think Brian has a point. Kids are supposed to be kids. Dressing them up and especially dolling them up to look like people who are at a sexually mature age is a dangerous line to cross.
But I do think these particular costumes are coming from an innocent place. Still, some of the ways you see some kids — including in Korea but especially in Mainland US — just leave you wondering if the parents have any sense whatsoever.
I think the Jon-Binet Ramsey type get-up is disgusting and crosses over into child abuse.
I'd have to say I dont have a problem with these outfits. A gymnast or figure skater would have less on. Often it's not what they are wearing but what they are doing when they are wearing it. From the photos the routines look pretty tame.
these outfits are obviously referencing the cheerleeding squads from Yonsei and Korea U. that you'll see at their games (고연전, or 연고전 depending on your alligance) and I have to say, neither the kids version nor the adult version comes across as particularly racy.

Honestly, those outfits show less skin than the cheerleading uniforms at my middle school in America, and I'm quite sure we were no exception.
excuse me but thats not the outfit that korean cheerleaders wear. There is no such thing as cheerleader in korean
Any particular reason why you would say that, or did you just figure white people writing about Korea would be wrong?
